Project Overview
Curved second-floor balcony railing plus rear entry step railings at a gray cedar-shingle home with a turret roofline and brick-edged stone steps.
Analysis
The balcony follows a curved bay, so the rail had to be formed to match the radius while the rear steps needed a separate pitched run in the same profile.
Process
Template the curve, shop fabrication, powder coat, install balcony and steps in one mobilization, final alignment.
Outcome
A continuous railing that follows the curved balcony exactly and matches the rear steps.

Materials Used
Black powder-coated posts and rails with vertical picket infill, curved rail sections formed to the bay radius, base plates and anchors.

Radius templated on site, curved sections rolled and welded in the shop, posts anchored along the fascia and at the step nosings.
