Interior Stair Railing with Horizontal Bar Infill
Project Overview
Interior stair and landing railing built with flat horizontal bars and a matching handrail, installed during a new-build interior fit-out with wood treads and painted walls.
Analysis
The stair runs between two walls and over an open lower flight, so the guard had to be fabricated tight to the stair pitch while keeping the treads readable through the railing.
Process
Measure after the treads were set, shop fabrication, install before finish paint, then final alignment and touch-up.
Outcome
A clean modern guard and handrail that follows the stair exactly and leaves the tread and wall finishes clean.
