Ramp Guardrail at an Urban Walkway
Project Overview
Black horizontal-bar guardrails fabricated and installed on both sides of an urban ramp and walkway between brick apartment buildings.
Analysis
The ramp carries foot traffic at night between two buildings, so the guard needed a continuous top rail, tight bar spacing, and a finish that stands up to street conditions.
Process
Night survey, shop fabrication, coating, and installation coordinated around building access.
Outcome
A continuous, well-lit-safe guardrail on both sides of the ramp with a uniform rail height throughout.

Materials Used
Steel posts and top rails with horizontal bar infill, satin black industrial coating, welded base plates and anchors into the concrete.
Methods & Techniques
Runs fabricated to the measured slope, posts anchored to the concrete on both sides, rails levelled and aligned across the full length.
