Rear Concrete Porch Railing

Project Overview

Black railing installed around a raised rear concrete porch and its steps at a white clapboard home.

Analysis

The concrete porch sits several feet above grade with an open side, so the rail had to wrap the slab and step down at the stair without blocking the door swing.

Process

Measure, shop fabrication, powder coat, single-day install, and final alignment.

Outcome

A simple black guard that makes the rear porch usable and safe from the yard.

Black powder-coated aluminum posts and rails with vertical bar infill, base plates, and anchors into the concrete slab and steps.
